  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Crushed garlic.
  7. Prepare 1 can of butter beans.
  8. It's 1 tsp of 11 -in-1 spice.
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of medium curry powder.
  10. It's 1/2 tsp of leaf masala.
  11. It's 1 pinch of salt.

Butter beans are one of my favourite beans. They are hearty and - for want of a better word - buttery. Their starchiness works well in this tikka curry, but if you prefer a different bean, feel free. I love curries in the cooler months and the last few days have cooled down as we are now in our Autumn in Australia, no more summer fun for us!

Butter beans curry instructions

  1. Add the rice in a pot with some boiled water and salt to taste and cook as required..

  4. Once the rice is ready, strain it (allow cold water to run over it) and then allow it to cool..
  5. Once meat is properly tender (add water continually as it'll cook away) then add the butter beans with all the spices mixed together..
  6. Allow it to cook until it forms a nice creamy gravy and serve on a bed of white rice..
